‘I Love My Life’ Shake

I found an excellent way to use most of the super foods in one shot. I created a shake that can substitute a meal and keep you full for about 4 hours.

This shake gives you everything your body needs to be nourished, craving free and happy.

After drinking this shake your energy goes up, because the cacao (chocolate) releases endorphins in your brain and make you happy and in love with your life.

Our body is always trying to balance and fulfill what it’s missing or repairing what is out of place; this is one of the reasons we crave chocolate when we are PMSing, when we are depressed or running low on nutrition.

Yes it’s true, we are all chocolate lovers but we also know chocolate bars are not healthy; the sugar, milk and other stuff are a turn off for people who want to lose weight.

Who never had a piece of chocolate, when struggling to shed some weight and then felt miserable and guilty because they couldn’t didn’t resist the urge?

OK we all need chocolate, but what we really need is the REAL THING, the raw cocoa.

A great combination with the chocolate are berries, like goji berries (great for longevity), blueberries or strawberries which provide the antioxidants and are a great source of vitamin C, which is the best weapon to fight the damage  that comes from aging.

So I’d like to share my delicious ‘I Love My Life’ shake recipe.

Drink it in the morning as a breakfast substitute. It’s great for people who work out in the morning. An alternative is to drink it at lunchtime as a substitute for a regular meal.

The shake has approximately 400 calories, approximately what you would get from a big, healthy meal. Plus… not too much time consumed in the kitchen; it’s perfect for those on the go or for when you are traveling.

You get everything your body needs to keep on going for the rest of the day.

I like my shake at lunchtime, because I don’t crave snacks in the afternoon and it holds me until dinner.

I can pass buy any pastry and turn my face away from the sweet because my body is happily full, filled with what would usually make me crave like crazy.

Here two variations of the shake, choose the one that is appropriate for you.

1-For athletes who work out heavily and needs energy. (Man or woman)

  • One cup of either: water, coconut water or almond milk.
  • One scoop of Sun warrior protein (my preferred protein, because it is vegan and sugar free)
  • One handful of blueberries or strawberries (any berry)
  • 1 tablespoon of raw cacao
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • Two teaspoon of Maca Powder
  • One teaspoon of Camu powder
  • One handful of pumpkin seeds.
  • One handful of goji berries
  • Blend everything in a blender (vitamix)

2-For women only who are experiencing hormones imbalances, insomnia or PMS symptoms.

  • One cup of either: water, coconut water or almond milk.
  • One scoop of Sun warrior protein (my preferred protein, because it is vegan and sugar free)
  • One handful of blueberries or strawberries (any berries)
  • 1 tablespoon of raw cacao
  • Two teaspoon of Maca Powder
  • One teaspoon of Camu powder
  • One handful of goji berries
  • One teaspoon of spirulina
  • Two tablespoons of Chia
  • Two tablespoons of Hemp seeds
  • One teaspoon of Nori powder
  • Blend everything in a blender (vitamix)
