August will be a very peculiar month.
Mercury will be retrograding, and when this master of communication gets into this motion, we here on Earth feel like everything is going backwards instead of going forward. The events don’t unfold with the same accuracy and speed. We tend to be more forgetful and confused, feeling like no matter how much effort we make to reach our goals or have our tasks done, we hardly succeed. Astrologers agree that this is not a good or positive vibration to launch a new project or to sign a contract under.
The order at this time is to use the ‘RE’ as much as possible in your daily activities, such as Re-think, RE-do, RE-search, RE-make, Re-confirm, RE-view and so on… and wait to launch projects or initiate new ventures when Mercury is back in it’s direct motion.
Mercury starts retrograding on August 2nd and is back direct on August 28th. I like to allow 7 days before and 7 after the period to make sure the energy is distant and faded in order to start new projects, sign important contracts and make major life decisions.
For you dear Taurus, your stand by activities will be directed towards matters of family and housing. Postpone any decisions about buying, selling or moving to a property, much less signing a contract.
Be aware that any little argument in the domestic area can turn into a “no way out situation;” any attempts that begin with “we need to talk” with your children or husband should be put on hold until September, if possible.
But it’s a good time to undergo research on family roots and ancestries.
Parallel to this planetary event, the planet Mars, which is responsible for the energy that moves us to initiate, to get started, to take action and to reach out for our goals is connecting with many planets, some connections good and some bad, raising a rush like energy to get things done, to start something up and to even be aggressive if we have to, in order to get the job done. People tend to act impetuously under Mars vibration.
Well, well, well…This combination feels to me like turning the engine of your car on and trying to drive with the emergency handbrake pulled.
So we are going to have a lot of noise and much blah, blah, blah; arguments, debates, but no solution, no deals will be made and if so, further down the line they will have to be reworked.
This is not a positive aspect for the negotiation of the US debt, and it’s not positive for the market and the financial crises we are undergoing.

The president should rush with this decision or this negotiation will get aggravated if they procrastinate until August 2nd or later.
Mars in Cancer turns his aggression and rushed energy to the matters of housing, family and emotions, raising the sensibility, making us act rashly and mindlessly when mad but it also brings about the mood to fix our homes and make it cozier and warmer. Venus will be transiting the magnificent Leo most of the month of August, indicating that the best way to protect our money during this time of uncertainty is turning your investments into GOLD, solid gold.
Your planet Venus will shine and send great energy to your home and family, making this a good time to decorate you home. But with Mercury retrograde in this area as well, only research and shop around to find the best deals, but don’t buy anything until September.
Once I made the mistake of redecorating my home when Mercury was retrograding, I thought if it’s RE-decoration it would be fine, but I forgot the furniture you buy and the contractor you hire should also be a “RE” as well, so a simple renovation drove me crazy and took much longer than I planned, from missing pieces, to delays from the contractors and many other headaches. Now I’ve learned; I do nothing during this time.
On August 1st, you have one of the most ideal situations to find a new love; it will be love at first sight and will drive you nuts…. in a good way. You may hear good news about family or housing matters.
On August 21st, the goddess of love and money moves to Virgo and we become very worried about money. . She stays in Virgo until September 14th.
In love, we want perfection and clarity. It’s also a good time to take care of our health and appearance.
This is a perfect place for your ruler Venus; Virgo is a very compatible sign to Taurus. Love is in the air!
