You are not living the now. You are missing the beauty of your moment; you are not appreciating what you are experiencing today, you are not enjoying the present.
Action happens in the present, because it is an expression of the body and the soul and it can only exist in the present moment.
The mind and especially negative thoughts are like phantoms that lives only in the past and in the future. You can’t let you thoughts have a power over you, drawing your attention from the present.
Why worry or spend time worrying over what is to come, what may or may not happen? Why waste precious moments to then in the future wish that you had appreciated a bit longer the days that have passed?
Focus your attention on the now!
Start your day appreciating nature, the birds singing at your window, the sun shining on your face, your good health, your breathing, the ones you love, your home, your job and your friends.
If you are on a date, stop wondering what tomorrow may bring you, enjoy that moment, the sharing of a glass of wine, the conversation, the getting to know each other, and the feelings you are experiencing. When you make assumptions about the future, you are not paying attention to the magical moment you are experiencing right now with someone special.
If tomorrow doesn’t happen but you enjoyed the present you have something beautiful to remember.
